The Learning Tree Mission
The Learning Tree School believes that children learn and grow in a creative, hands-on and nurturing environment that engages their curiosity of our world.  We strive to instill in children respect for others, an appreciation for diversity and a self confidence for their overall success into school.
  1. Primer class
This program is five days a week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is designed to provide an environment for children to polish their social skills, build a solid academic foundation and foster a good self concept while participating in unique class experiences. This class serves as a Pre-K to prepare children for kindergarten. Ratio is 16 children : 2 teachers
  2. 4-year-old class
This program is five days a week. As children grow, they learn through exploration. Teachers assist children by providing a stimulating environment as well as a variety of experiences. Ratio is 14 children : 2 teachers
  3. 3-year-old class
This program is three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays). Children have individual levels of development that are determined by their social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs. The goal of our three-year-old program is to help each child grow and develop in all these areas. Ratio is 12 children : 1 teacher, 1 aide
  4. 2-year-old class
This program is two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). We believe two-year-olds need the opportunity to be with other children and to begin to learn to be part of a group. Our goal is to provide an enriching environment where optimal social growth and motor development can occur. Ratio is 9 children : 1 teacher, 1 aide

Caring for Children and Teaching Them to be a Part of the Community

The Learning Tree School prepares children for the life ahead.
From how to play with friends in his/her classroom to understanding cultures abroad.
We build a self confidence and social skills  in a global community.
  1. Early & Late Dropoff
The Learning Tree provides both early and late stay care so that your child can be a part of the Learning Tree School and still manage to fit more into your busy schedule.
  2. Pre-K preparation
At the Learning Tree, children are taught how to learn, be responsible and get along in the school setting. Our expanded PreK offering creates friendships and prepares children for the road ahead with a foundation for learning.
  3. Extracurriculars
The Learning Tree provides children with opportunities to participate in on campus extracurricular activities such as Art, Gymnastics and Karate.
  4. Bilingual Availability

Teaching Children Culture and Social Skills for the Road Ahead

The Learning Tree School is a unique school for young children.  It was founded in 1968 to bring children and their families of different ethnic groups together to share cultures.  The main focus of the school is still cultural awareness.  Its founder, Judy Allen, has been a teacher of young children for over 45 years and a workshop instructor for many additional years.  She is co-author of Cultural Awareness for Children, a teacher's resource book used in universities throughout the U.S. and other countries.
